A village church ceremony and barn reception // A summer afternoon at the Symondsbury Tithe Barn

Writer: Chloe PalmerChloe Palmer

Welcome back! So, let me take you back to last summer, when I had the pleasure of capturing this absolutely stunning church wedding, set within the small village of Sydling St Nicholas in Dorset.

Bride and groom walk outside a stone church, smiling, as guests throw confetti. Bride holds bouquet. Joyful atmosphere, sunny day.

The morning started off in a charming rustic cottage on the Symondsbury estate, where the Bride and her Bridesmaids prepped themselves for the big day, with the help of Hair & Makeup artist, Bex Elizabeth. When the girls were ready, Felicity's father arrived in a green vintage car ready to drive her to the church. The whole vibe was just so relaxed and timeless, it was truly a joy to be a part of.

After the lovely ceremony, we all gathered back at the Symondsbury Tithe Barn for their gorgeous reception. The drink reception in the sunshine was the perfect way to kick off the celebrations, followed by some heartfelt speeches that had everyone feeling all the feels. And can we talk about the dinner? Dorset Fine Dining served up a delicious 3-course meal that had everyone raving.

As I snapped away throughout the day, I couldn't help but feel like I was capturing not just moments, but memories that would last a lifetime. The whole day was just so much fun and filled with so much love. This is why I love what I do - being able to document these special days in a way that is authentic and real.

I hope you enjoyed hearing about this beautiful wedding as much as I did capturing it. Until next time, keep smiling and spreading love wherever you go.
